The IRS reports that Audits are going to be up in 2010. The target....non-profits, small business, Corporate America. If you were thinking about hiring someone to do your taxes this would be the year. When IRS audits, they audit the last three years. Never ever go to an audit alone. The main thing that the IRS is going for, trying to prove an independant contractor as an employee. You have to be very careful with the rules on this because it is gray. If the IRS wins this fight, then employer can be liable for the payroll withholdings. This could be DEVASTATING.

  January 2nd we will be available. If you sell merchandise to customers, you will need to count your INVENTORY. Also make sure that you have your payroll information ready for us too. The W2's and 1099's have to be IN the mail before January 30. Your 4th Quarter payroll withholdings are going to be due on January 15th.

  For your convience there is a drop box. As you walk up to the door the drop box is located on your left as you face the door. Should we be out of the office when you come by leave it in there. Please call us and advise us that you put something there. Thanks in advance.
